मार्क - तुम पहली बार वहाँ थीं?

तारा - जी हाँ, मैं इस से पहले वहाँ नहीं गई।

मार्क - तुम ताज होटल के बारे में क्या सोचती हो? मैं पिछले हफ़्ते वहाँ गया।

तारा - आपको वहाँ का खाना अच्छा लगा?

मार्क - जी नहीं, उनके खाने में ज़्यादा घी है। इससे हाज़मा ठीक नहीं हुआ।

तारा - हाँ, वह बहुत बुरी बात है। और वह शहर से बहुत दूर है, तुम कैसे गए?

मार्क - मैं और मेरे भाई गए। हम उनकी कार से गए।

तारा - चलो ठीक, आज मुझे मज़ा आया। मुझे यहाँ का खाना पसंद आया।

Conversation

Mark - Was that your first time there?

Tara - Yes, I had not been there before.

Mark - What do you think about the Taj Hotel? I went there last week.

Tara - Did you like the food there?

Mark - No there is too much oil in their food. Due to that digestion is not good.

Tara - Yes, that is a very bad thing. And it is far from the city, how did you go?

Mark - I and my brother went. We went by his car.

Tara - Okay then, I enjoyed today a lot. I like the food here.

Notes: Perfective for intransitive verbs

The Hindi perfective tense is used to describe specific actions in the past. Unlike English Hindi distinguishes between specific and repeated past actions.

Intransitive verbs in the perfective follow the pattern of बोलना to speak

Spelling note: with ा ending stems verbs end in -या/-ए/-ई/-ईं e.g.

infinitive: आना

Note जाना ‘to go’ is irregular.
